When Sat, May 9, 4am -10pm Source BikeReg link Calendar iCal Download Description This ride is intended to be a great day of training for those headed to Unbound and other early-season gravel events. It's also a terrific ride in terms of great terrain and a big day in the saddle; one can enjoy this for what it is (a big day of awesome gravel and mixed terrain) or use it specifically as training to put final touches on an Unbound training plan prior to tapering for the big event. We have been very fortunate to have Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, MA hosting us for another super fun Trail Mix training ride! Red Apple is the best start/finish venue for a big day of gravel riding! Restrooms and water are available at the start, parking is ample and no charge Ride a well-vetted 150-mile route solo, with your friends, or with a group we assemble Ride in an area without much traffic and where you're probably not riding otherwise Enjoy two mid-ride fuel/support stops with water, a smiling face, mechanic tools, and your gear bag. Finish the ride with tasty food made by Red Apple or bring your own food. This is a BYO situation at the farm so you get what you want post-ride and this way we can keep the price of registration as low as possible for everyone. Red Apple's Brew barn has a great menu and beer on tap as well! There is no on-bike mechanical support. The ride is unlikely to be changed or canceled due to rain or weather. The ride runs rain or shine though dangerous weather or circumstances outside of our control will cancel (ex: thunderstorms). Get valuable training for early season events such as Unbound! This ride is timed to correspond with most coaches' recommendations as to when the last huge training ride should occur in an athlete's schedule.
