We are back for the 35th edition of the West Hill Shop Cyclocross Race. This year we are returning as a member of the River Valley Cyclocross Series! We are excited to host the final stop in the RVCX series and cannot wait to see you all in lovely SoVT.
Racers will receive a discounted registration of $20 when they signup for a second race. This means no one has a reason to skip the single speed race.

The Venue:
For one day per year, the grounds of the West Hill Shop and its neighbors is transformed into a race course! Space is at a premium, and we rely on multiple land owner's cooperation to put on the race. As such, please be respectful of the other land owners whose property we cross. (Green Mountain Spinnery, Farnum Insulators, The Putney Inn, and the residences on Brickyard Lane and Kathan Meadow Lane).
The Course:
The course will contain many of the classic features from past editions, like the fast, flowing woods section and the infamous run-up. As always, we try to keep it fresh so this year we've switched it up and have added a few new things. Expect to have to get off your bike and climb dry clay hills and pedal through a closed down paper mill.
Parking is located behind the Putney Inn (57 Putney Landing Rd, Putney, VT 05346), in the grass field marked in yellow on the map . Parking in the lot is reserved for guests of the Putney Inn.
Food: The Sweet Spot Cafe will be open on the day of the race, offering coffee, baked goods, and a variety of sandwiches. The Putney Food Co-op is also a short ride across the overpass with an extensive selection of grocery items, prepared foods, and sandwiches made to-order.
Lodging: The Putney Inn is the most convenient option available! Affordable rates, preferred parking, right across from the course. We would not be able to put on the race without their support.
There are plenty of AirBnBs in the area, and hotels in Brattleboro as well.
Make it a weekend of racing by staying Saturday night, and attending Pumpkin Cross in Surry, NH on Sunday, November 8th!
Getting There:
From the South; Follow I-91 North to exit 4. Take the exit, and cross Putney Landing Road to enter the parking lot of the Putney Inn (57 Putney Landing Rd, Putney VT, 05346). Follow signs to the parking area behind the Inn.
From the North; Follow 1-91 South to exit 4. Take the exit, and turn right onto VT-5 North. Following signs to the West Hill Shop, turn right onto Putney Landing Rd (across from the Putney Food Co-op). After crossing the overpass, turn left to enter the Putney Inn (57 Putney Landing Rd, Putney VT, 05346) parking lot. Follow signs to the parking area behind the Inn.
