When Sat, May 2, 10am -4pm Source BikeReg link Calendar iCal Download Description The Mad River Riders are here to help you get your biking season rolling with the Cranko de Mayo. The event raises funds for our trail crew, coaches for our Rippers program, and several events and programs. You can choose from three ride options. The easiest is the “Pan Comido” which translates to “Eaten Bread”, a Spanish phrase that means piece of cake. It's 19.5 miles with 2000 feet of climbing. The route avoids the steepest roads so you can get up to the views without killing yourself. It's 33 miles with 3800 feet of climbing. Their friendly and capable guide will set you up with an e-bike loaner and guide a 20 to 30 mile gravel ride showcasing the beautiful scenic views of the Mad River Valley. Treat yourself and ease into your biking season. It's a rational choice. All rides start at 10 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2026. All start and finish at Madbush Falls in Waitsfield, Vermont. There will be aid stations out on the course at about the halfway point of each course to keep you refueled. Madbush Falls will have taco and margarita specials. Stick around and relax and socialize with other cool people who like to ride bikes.
