Ames -Downer | 31.2 mi Cycling Route on Strava Starting with a climb to warm us up :-) 9AM, Norwich green. Current forecast is 41F at 9, climbing to 59F by noon. Up the Bragg Hill -Beaver Meadow climb to warm up. Then Downer, the camp class 4, and up Cross to Brook. Down Ames(has some bumpy bits) and into South Strafford, then up Downer Forest to the State Forest roller-coaster down. Beaver Meadow back to the start. Pace will be relaxed. This is a no-drop ride. All riders should have joined the Upper Valley Cycling Club and signed the waivers for 2025: https://www.bikereg.com/uvcc-membership Riders should have food & water, spare tube/repair kit, etc. There is a store in South Strafford. If you were hoping for more Class 4, here's the other ride I was tempted to lead. The Taylor -Morrill section is part of the Ranger route. Enjoy! Class 4s can be interesting this time of year because the leaves disguise the road surface. Taylor - Ames | 31.4 mi Cycling Route on Strava Feel free to email me with questions or suggestions.
