When Sat May 2 9:00am Sunset 7:51pm Where Canaan Elementary School Route SMGR 5/2: Building Bridges from Canaan Elementary School 43.0 miles, 4,700 feet Leader Joe Burnett Calendar iCal Download Description UPDATE A ride still on from Canaan B Ride is leaving from Norwich due to weather at 9am Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3485605130124828034 David M , Sarah S, and I will be co-leading this classic route across Province Road, past Sculptured Rocks, Newfound Lake and back over Washburn Hill. Province Road is technically a class IV road, but it is generally (no promises!) well maintained and should be in good shape. Definitely a stream crossing is involved, which is the bridge building we will do (metaphorically, don't worry!), but that section of pavé is relatively mild. The Bear Hill and Cole Hill class IV sections are more technical, but deliver a really cool adventure connecting Newfound Lake to the shoulder of Cardigan Mountain. The view at the top of Washburn is worth the climb. David, Sarah, and I will cover A and B+ paces. Fran will lead her B-paced group. We're not planning a stop, so please plan to self support.
