I've never used Session Meadows for a group ride. It got the Stephanie Hall seal of approval for being in good shape so it should satisfy anyone hankering for some Class 4. :-) West Hartford - Session Meadows | 26.5 mi Cycling Route on Strava 8AM start, West Hartford library. Forecast is 58F at 8AM climbing to 72F at noon. Across the bridge and up the Queechee road to Joe Ranger. All the way across to the full Cloudland descent into Woodstock. Old River to High Pastures, then up Session Meadows. The last part is Class 4. Back up over the top of Cloudland to Galaxy Hill, then the long paved Pomfret Road descent and a last bit of dirt on Handy. Folks wanting to go a bit longer could add Howe Hill, Quimby, and Tigertown. Tigertown down is big fun. West Hartford - Session Meadows - Tigertown | 36.0 mi Cycling Route on Strava This is a no-drop ride. The challenge is the terrain, not the pace. I'll ride sweep, so you won't be last. If there's a big difference in speed the fast folks can split off the front and I'll stay back.
