The recent rain has really brought Enfield's quiet dirt/gravel roads into good form, so it'd be a great week to do an early leaf-scouting ride! The Route: This route avoids the 5 PM traffic on 4A by heading out Shaker Blvd ("Dirt Shaker") and then cruising by Crystal Lake—see if you can spot one of the many loons on the lake! Then we hit the "Dirt Scissors" (the Ibey and Choate twins that link South Rd to Lochehaven), and get back on Rt 4A via Boys Camp Road (dirt). Then an easy spin home on the pavement.
