UVWCC Ladies Social Ride - Norwich 07/08/25

This week’s ride starts from Huntley Meadows (Norwich Park & Ride).  

STANDARD PACE RIDE: (route 1)

We’ll head out Route 5 to Goodrich 4 Corners, Union Village to Route 132, then onto Peterson/Hogback to begin the climb up Godfrey to the top of Thetford Hill.  Regroup there, then a nice long cruise down Academy and back to Route 132 and finish on Route 5 to Norwich.  All gravel sections are rideable on a road bike (G4C, Peterson/Hogback, Godfrey).  This group will average between 14-16mph.

Mandatory Regroups: Academy Road at the Common (mile 12.3); junction of Route 132 and Route 5 (mile 18).  Other regroups may be added as deemed necessary.

EASIER PACE: (route 2)

Carrie and Daphne will be leading a group at an easier pace, averaging between 10-13mph. Depending on the needs and wishes of the group, they will either follow the same route as the standard pace OR may opt for a slightly shorter route with less climbing that cuts out the G4C section. Same mandatory regroups as the standard pace ride.
