SMGR 5/2: Building Bridges from Canaan Elementary School

This is a classic route across Province Road, past Sculptured Rocks, Newfound Lake and back over Washburn Hill. Province Road is technically a class IV road, but it is generally (no promises!) well maintained and should be in good shape. Definitely a stream crossing is involved, which is the bridge building we will do (metaphorically, don't worry!), but that section of pavé is relatively mild. The Bear Hill and Cole Hill class IV sections are more technical, but deliver a really cool adventure connecting Newfound Lake to the shoulder of Cardigan Mountain. The view at the top of Washburn is worth the climb.
