Description

Watching the weather and will post update if things change no later than  6am Sat.    Right now it looks good between 7am and noon/1pm.  This route has options to shorten it.  Mostly gravel roads.  There are a few short known adventure sections and possibly some unknown... Stop in Tunbridge for food/ water  and/ or we can go to Sharon.

New London
Map
Description

Route is about 60% paved and 40% gravel, 38mm-ish tires are fine for the gravel surfaces. Start/stop is at a relatively small office and retail center so best behaviour.  New London Park and Ride capacity is unpredictable so we're using this instead, is still close to I-89.  Danbury General Store is at mile 20. Rain may cancel.

Gravel Gap A (is for Adventure) Ride

Description

Classic paved and unpaved Gap A-Ride with some challenging but rideable class IV on Rochester Gap and in Middlebury and Lincoln. Spectacular views on the Braintree Hill finish after Roxbury Gap. Stores available at mile 39 (Ripton), mile 60 (Jerusalem), and mile 73 (Waitsfield). Definitely recommend lots of water/carbs, wide tires, negative gear ratios, and climbing legs.
