Woodstock-Brownsville Location Billings Farm/Old River road parking, Woodstock, VT Town Woodstock Description Easy flat warmup on Old River, then across the Taftsville bridge and up Sugar Hill. Garvin Hill takes you to the wickedly steep pitches on Cream Pot and then the fast Densmore Hill descent. Up Silver Hill and down Cowshed to a great view of Mt. Ascutney. Another great view from Bible Hill, and then East Rowe Hill and a Class 4 that is easy once past the first rocky pitch(most walk that). A long rolling climb up Rush Meadow, over the top, around th Loop and down into South Woodstock. Refuel at the store if needed.
Norwich-Downer-Fay Brook Location Norwich Green Town Norwich Description Up the beautiful Bragg Hill climb to Beaver Meadow. Over the top and down to Downer, and across the South Strafford. Up the Justin Morrill to the brook climb, and then the long Fay Brook descent to Sharon. A few minutes on Rt. 14, then up Quimby Mt. to Mitchell Brook and down beaver meadow to the start.
Woodstock - South Royalton Location Billings Farm/Old River road parking, Woodstock, VT Town Woodstock Description Up Cloudland and down Barber Hill to South Pomfret. Stage to Lime Pond to Sayer, and then the long, long descent on the Royalton Turnpike. Back River gets you to downtown SoRo where you can fill bottles and refuel at the co-op. Climb out of town on Oxbow, then Broad Brook to the big Allen Hill climb. Skyline to Webster Hill to Galaxy Hill and then the full Cloudland descent back to the start.
Joe Ranger -Cloudland- Wild Apple -Tigertown Location Norwich Green Town Norwich Description Down Christian, across the river, then Old River all the way the the Quechee-West Hartford road. Joe Ranger across to Cloudland, then down Barber Hill to South Pomfret and the teago store to refuel. Up Wild Apple with an easy Class 4 at the top, then down Webster Hill to the long paved Pomfret road descent. Tigertown to Mitchell Brook and the long paved Beaver Meadow descent to the start.
