WNR C

The routes for the WNR C group. More moderate routes than the A or B routes. Shorter and with less climbing and shorter gravel sections. The aim is to start these routes at 5:30pm and complete them before sunset at a moderate pace (14 to 16mph).

Five and Dime with a twist.

Location
Town
Hanover
Description

The flattest road route possible in the Upper Valley for this week. We haven't done a five and dime for a long time. We will do a circuit of Occom Pond and a short detour on Pavillion.

UVWCC - Sweetland Farm to Stowell to New Boston

Town
Norwich
Map
Description

Starting at Huntley Meadows, a quick spin up Rt 5 to left on 132 where, after a few minutes, you'll see Sweetland Farm on your right. A nice spot for a regroup and a culinary treat, before proceeding on. A cool climb on Stowell awaits, after which you will be rewarded with a lovely spin down New Boston, back to the parking lot

Oak Hill, Trescott, Hardy Hill, Greensboro

Location
Town
Hanover
Description

A favorite route for the WNR C group. Gravel on Reservoir and Dirt King. Lookout for the babbling brook and a waterfall on Ruddsboro. The views from the top of Dirt King can be spectacular before the long, long descent of Laramie and Hardy Hill. Lookout for the right hand bend where Hardy Hill crosses Jenkins and Brook Rd. The road configuration is confusing and you might be tempted to cross the lanes and head up Jenkins, DON'T. If you are unsure then stay with the group and follow someone who knows the area.

Oak Hill, Trescott, Dogford

Location
Town
Hanover
Description

Starting from Oak Hill, a short section of gravel on Reservoir, then Trescott, Etna, and Dogford. Returning via Hanover Center, Rennie and route 10.
