Mostly flat, with scenic views of the Connecticut River along Rt 5 and River Rd. Gravel and bumpy road surfaces on River Rd with a few steep climbs up Mount Mackenzie on River Rd and Chieftain Hill on Rt. 10.

Description

A counterclockwise route following the course of the Connecticut.

Starting at Garipay, heading into town and down Tuck Dr to cross the river. 

We turn right at the lights to head north on River Rd and then a long haul on Rt 5. The route has a small detour onto Pavilion Rd, but if you miss it, don't fret as it rejoins Rt 5 after 1/2 a mile.

At East Thetford, we can stop at Hugget’s Market for refreshments before we turn right to cross the river, admiring the rebuilt bridge as we go back into New Hampshire.

Immediately after the bridge, turn right into River Rd. This has some gravel sections. 5 miles of River Rd, and we turn right onto Rt 10 to head back to Garipay.
